Would jump all over this myself if I didn't already have speakers all over the house (some not even connected) and a newborn at home (wife would kill me if I brought home more toys for me, and they're too big to smuggle into the house!).

Remember, B&M only - they will not give you this deal online / by mail in my experience.

$300 high end?

I wouldn't call them high end... in the audio world, people have different definitions of high end.
But these are good speakers, I've listened to them at Best Buy and I thought they were ok, but of course if you start listening to all the speakers in the Magnolia show room, then your reference goes away since the pricing varies so much.
Definitive is definitely a good brand, at less than 300 that's a steal.

If these can be ordered online, I would be all over these.

I've got the older, bigger siblings to these, the BP20s, the BP8s and the BPXs for my home theater and they are very good speakers. You've got to have a good amp/receiver to drive these. The $599 Home Theater-in-a-Box won't do them justice.

One note - these are bi-polar speakers which means they have drivers in the front and back of the unit and the sound fires both directions simultaneously. This means placement is critical. Too close to a wall and they sound boomy. Too far away and they sound thin. You have to experiment with these to get optimal sound. I've got mine about 27" from the wall. If you don't have room or your wife/SO doesn't like speakers sticking out from the walls, stay away from these.

I just picked up these at 6Ave store. You can still get them at the sale price.

Also picked up the Denon 1908 receiver on sale for $298. Might have to return the receiver and get an Onkyo for a bit cheaper, but will see. Checking out the reviews for this receiver now ...
