The site now seems to working, except you get a link error:
"Error
An unexpected error has occured.
We're sorry for the inconvenience, but an unexpected error has occurred. Please, go back and try again. If you have received this error repeatedly please close your browser and try again."

But they have a nice solution:
"try again"

I was able to get to the site last night and ordered the 47" LCD 47PFL3603D/27 and Magnovox 32MD357B/37. The orders went through fine; credit card is already charged but we'll see if they actually ship it.

This is a Friends & Family type sale.
The stuff about being an employee only thing doesn't seem to apply since lots of non-employees were able to pick up TVs the last time the outlet had a sale.

I picked up the 42" 1080p, 120hz LCD HDTV (model 42PFL7403D/27E) for about $880 after tax (CA).
I've been looking at that TV for a while on Amazon and it's stayed constant at $1,299.99 for months.

These TVs are friggin SWEET for this money, especially the ones that are part of the "Eco TV" line since they use way less energy than other plasma and LCD TVs of similar size.

Personally, I think when you get a coupon to get 200 or 300 off then it makes Phillips outlet worth the buy with all the horror stories floating around on the internet.

Having said that I once purchased a tv from the them few years back with a blown speaker and it was taken care of with under the 90 day warranty at home within few weeks as the repair guy had to order the part

Has anybody received a tv yet? I ordered a 32" LCD with built in DVD model #32MD357B/37 for $449 plus tax on 11/23. I received a confirmation email, my account lists it with the order#, but my credit card has not been charged and I haven't recieved a shipping notice yet. I have ordered 2 other tvs over the years and they were both listed in my account. I received them. Is philips really checking for employees this time?
