All advertised in today's Houston Chronicle without mentioning brands. I got the 46" for 799+tax, a Mitsubishi LT-46133. There were still a few when I left.

wow that's cheap. These go for 1499 from Amazon. I dunno how good Mitsubishi lcd's are though. But 46" 1080p lcd at $799 is really good. I might have to go and check it out later

Me neither. I did own a couple of Mitsubishi VCRs, back in the day. They were excellent products, but one can't really draw too many conclusions about today's tv's from 1990-vintage VCRs.

Still, I think I'd rather have a Mitsubishi than I would most inexpensive house brands.

And $799 for a 46" LCD HDTV is a good deal, so long as the tv isn't an absolute piece of junk. I mean, I watch much less tv than I did a few years ago, but even so I'll probably want to replace the 27" Sharp tv before long. It's started to give off that really annoying high pitched whine in operation, and it's kind of hard to convince myself that that's a good thing. I'm tempted to say I'll buy a 46" 1080p LCD HDTV once they hit $499, but realistically I might pull the trigger even before they hit that price point, or maybe even settle for a 42" model.

Am I reading the title right? A 22" Samsung TV for $229? That would be a great price!

Yes, they are true, but all three locations in Houston run out already.

Are they refurb or demo? Because in Bay area the ad said they are demo or open box.

I can't speak for this model but Mitsubishi is a quality manufacturer of TVs.

I just came back and they were new.

However I couldn't bring myself to buy one because the picture looked horrible compared to the Samsung next to it.

if u have all hd contents going to the mitsu tv then is ok, but sd will look pretty bad on this one, there is no internal upscaler build in, i askd a product specialist at fry's today, it is indeed a good price for the size, but for people who watch mostly sd content u may want to choose something else.

Thanks OP! Just got one in Campbell, CA store. The ad does say "open box or demo unit," but I got a brand new one The unit didn't look so big in the store (compared to my 46" Sharp thick bezel one), but the box is HUGE! I couldn't fit it into my sedan no matter what. Finally, I had to take it out of the box and lay it flat in the trunk... It was a big hassle but the store clerk was very helpful.

If anyone's interested, numbers of the 22" LCD TVs are for the Samsung LN22A450, Samsung LN22A451, Toshiba 22AV500U, and the Viewsonic N2230W.
Varies by location somewhat as only three models are listed in the Houston flyer while the San Jose had four.

That is a great price on the Samsung LN22A450. Has it been confirmed in Duluth, GA?

Called to check and while they have the LN22A451 in stock, it's regular price... the other three at $229 are all sold out.
