Plasma HDTV in case anyone was wondering

I just hooked mine up from a previous deal. It looks flat out amazing. I'm having a tough time figuring out how to mount it, though. It doesn't look like it has VESA standard holes on the back. I've seen it claimed both way on this set, and can't find a definitive answer.

From an Amazon.com review -

First of all, AVOID ORDERING FROM 6AVENUE ELECTRONICS! THEY HAVE NO REFUND POLICY ON LARGE TVS NO MATTER HOW BAD IT IS, AND THE DELIVERY GUY DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TIME TO TURN IT ON AND TRY IT WHEN ITS DELIVERED.

4) Not really a television problem, but more of a problem with the retailer. I purchased the set through Amazon from 6Avenue electronics, and when I called them to ask for a return, I was denied, saying they NEVER ACCEPT ANY RETURNS ON TVS LARGER THAN 32 INCHES. They referred me to a line buried in their 30 day return policy which stated that it does not apply to large telivisions. They said that once I bought it an accepted delivery it was my problem, and I would have to resolve any issues with the manufacturer. So beware when ordering from them. I guess customer service means nothing and I will never buy from them again. I am now stuck with a television which does not perform to the promised specifications and which I can not return.

And I especially would not recommend buying anything from 6th Avenue electronics. What a rip off....

Ever hear the term "you get what you pay for"? Buy the unit from Harvey Electronics, and you'll have no problems returning it. Of course, you'll pay significantly more for the same unit. 6th Ave. Electronics is giving you EXACTLY the customer service they stated in their return policy, had you bothered to read it. Blame yourself, not them. Of course, if there's a problem with it, you can always take it up with the manufacturer, Panasonic generally has very good warranty coverage. If all else fails, take it up with your credit card company.

I am waiting for those posts come up agian, such as "you better wait and you can get it for $100 by black Friday" or "This thing will drop like a rock and you can get it like $50 in a month"...... BTW, I thing this is a good price.

biggal24, I know what you mean.

I'm looking to get a 42" plasma, so the hard part for me is figuring out when to pull the trigger. I'm tempted, but hoping for a local retailer to have a similar sale.

The value of my time far outweighs a few bucks you save by going tthrough one of these shady online outfits.

You bring up a good point. I saw this deal on Friday at DealNews (was this deal ripped)????? Free shipping is "Curbside"? I didn't know what that meant and called the 877 number on their home page. The phone DIDN'T WORK. I tried three separate occasions.

Spending a few bucks I'll deal with sketchy websites. Spending $800, I'll look else ware.
