How is this cooler for laptops 15.4" or bigger?

Its Onions favorite for a reason.
I got one for FAR last year from CC. My 15.4" Laptop just barely fits on it. I monitored the temps with the cooler and without and saw no difference. I even opened the thing up and reversed the fans. No improvement there either.
Might be good for use on the couch or in bed, but even then its a pain.
Been thinking of picking up one of those lapdesks with a large flat surface and pillow on the bottom.
Got one for my sister from Linens & Things a few years ago and it works great.

Thing is, this is for sure not the same Antec cooler Onion disliked so much last year. This is a different model.

Now of course Onion might dislike this model with the same passion. I don't know.

But I own two of the earlier model Antec coolers, the one with the aluminum top. I like them very much and use them all the time. My laptop fans run less with the cooler operating. And of course for anyone who leaves his laptop Li-Ion battery in its bay while operating on AC power, the cooler is a must. [I store my batteries in the refrigerator unless they are in use, which is even better.]

Anyway, I miss Onion, too. I hope he gets on this thread and blasts this cooler to smithereens!
