Shows to be $6.28 for me. Did you have to enter a code to get the $5?

Got a similar cable at a similar price. Works fine. Really wish the Wii had HDMI outputs

It seems to have gotten a bit less hot.
It was $5 when I added it to my cart. By the time I got done seeing what else they had on the site and went to check out, it was up to $6.28. I didn't pull the trigger because I'm just going to get one with a monoprice order and adding it there didn't bump up my shipping price.

At $6.28 delivered, isn't it still a good deal? Wii component cables from other sources seem to be in the $10-$20 range.

You can get it at Monoprice for about $6 shipped (depending on where you live). Link

what's the difference between the first and second one? just color on monoprice that is, grey and white one. grey one is 50cents less.

Pure looks.
Some people are picky that their cable must match the color of the Wii

The Wii max output resolution is 480p, so you can't really make use of the the HDMI high bandwidth anyway.

Did anyone notice a difference using these component cables as opposed to the cables supplied with the Wii? It supposedly recognizes a 480p signal on my lcd, but can't really say that the picture quality is any better.

On smaller screens it does not make much difference......on larger ( mine 60" ) it did make a noticeable difference...not fantastic but better

I ended up getting the component cables (thanks OP!). Looked a bit better on a large screen. Remember, besides the benefit of splitting out the signal into three components, you also get progressive scan. Doing a search, I found some YouTube videos comparing the Wii with and without component cables.

Good luck!
