Why Dell charge the shipping?
-------------------------------
Because that is the inhouse cost of the product.MSRP is their profit.

This guys just try to keep price high for 'Things'-

I had the same issue, can't apply coupon to 2 cameras. Would have been a good deal to but two and get the free shipping.

Deal is MEH anyway. Seems CC and BB have deals on cameras for similar after coupon prices right now.

Great price, but be forewarned that most/all Kodak cameras from the past few years have very poor overall picture quality, notwithstanding professional reviews that sugarcoat their shortcomings and give an overall positive opinion of them. I bought the previous version of this camera, the M753, and returned it because it could not take photos that could be printed larger than 4x6 without looking like junk. I also bought (and returned) the 12mp Kodak Z1275 for the same reason. Kodak has made a decision to use very heavy compression for saving JPEG files, presumably to allow owners to save more photos per given size memory card, at a cost of loss of detail and increased graininess. In this era of sub-$8 4gb cards and practically free 1gb and 2gb cards, this is just asinine. To put this into perspective, with the z1275, average file size was roughly half or a third of the file size of photos taken with my Pentax Optio 555 5mp camera (and were much less crisp and detailed than the Pentax's photos notwithstanding the 2.5x - 12mp vs. 5mp - greater resolution) and were only about .1-.2mp larger than the file sizes of photos taken with my circa-2000 2mp Canon A20. My wife decided that she really liked the small Kodaks, though, and we ended up with an 8mp M883, which has more manual settings than the M753 plus an extra megapixel of resolution. While the M883 takes slightly better pictures than the M753, it has the same problem with excessive graininess. At ISO 64 the photos are grainier than my Pentax or my Kodak P880 (probably the last truly good camera Kodak made) at ISO 400. If the M763 is essentially an M753 with a few improvements, it does have decent VGA video and has probably the fastest shot-to-shot speed with flash of any camera I have tested. I looked at pretty much all of the SD-card compatible digital cameras on the market last year and found that the M753 could take 3 flash photos in about 4 seconds.

EDIT: Wow, some idiot named ertuzi gave this post red. If someone takes the time to post helpful, detailed and constructive information critical of a deal, it is not threadcrapping and if you are going to give it a red rating, at least have the integrity to post an explanation for why you disagree.

I got the M753 for $50 back in the spring on Clearance at Rite Aid. Its not a bad camera for $50 but not worth regular price.

I assume the difference in the 753 and the 763 is that that 753 has a lithium ion battery pack and the 763 doesnt.
