shamelessly ripped from SD boards. i searched Sears, samsung, lowes and washer but did not see this posted. if i missed then just ignore me as most people do. can't believe i did not see it posted on FW (50+ pages on this deal at SD)

Sears is having a Friends & Family sale today from 6-9PM.

Sale includes
Samsung 4.0 cu. ft. model WF218ANW Front Loading Washer AND

Samsung 7.3 cu. ft. Super Capacity Electric Dryer
model# DV218AEW

To make it sweeter you may be able to PM you local Lowes for 110% PM policy (YMMV - I got 100%PM only not 110%PM)

Link to Lowes PM (Especially for this deal)

To make it sweeter look for local Energystar rebates that may be available in your area.

did some searching and found this buried in another thread, but I think it desreves its' own....

FW thread on Sears F&F sale, but it's buried in between some TV deals.

One last item. Delivery is also free after a Lowes rebate, you get a Lowes gift card for the amount of the delivery charge. It was $65 for me (YMMV). My delivery rebate form also printed out at the register at time of purchase.

There's a pair of Kenmore frontloaders for $629.

True. But I'd take the Samsung over the Kenmore. Also you can't PM Kenmore products anywhere since Sears is the only place that sells them.

Thanks so much. Just called Lowes and they matched it over the phone. They said they did this a couple of weeks ago and already knew how to match it. They did say that it is not in stock and I will have to wait but that is okay.

This washer/dryer pair is drawing a TON of attention. Can anyone confirm that Sears will offer a rain check for the same price, if they run out?

Also, will this be available for order online without any special code needed?

I'm going to compare later. My current washer/dryer is a 10 year old Roper and anything would probably be a MAJOR improvement.

Lowes just called back and they have it in stock. They are delivering it tomorrow.

Please read up on the Samsung's customer service. I have a friend who does weekend work for Samsung and gets an incredible amount of complaints on their washing machines. I'm not saying this deal isn't good, just be aware of some substantial negative feedback people have given about these front loaders.

Sears' Kenmore line is pretty top notch. I'd easily save nearly 300 dollars by taking their products.

I used to think that too and for $300 less, this seems like a good deal. The only part that gets me is their $259 extended warranty for EACH unit. If you don't take the warranty, you are playing russian roulettte. I like Home Depot because they only hit you for $99 for 4 more years of warranty.

I had seen this a couple of days ago on SD, and decided to try it today at Lowes. Just got back and it wasn't too painful. Guy in appliances couldn't find them by model numbers, so I pulled up the item numbers online on the phone, and then he was able to find them. Manager came back to do the price override and didn't even question anything. They didn't to the 110% at the appliance desk, but the lady up front did when I was paying.

Was out the door in 45 min with set in the back of the truck for 810 + tax. This was a Cincy, OH store, and there are plenty of stores with the set in stock.

Thanks Lowes, Sears and Samsung!

A couple interesting things in the small print:

1) Priced lower in store.
2) Gas dryer priced higher.

FYI, they aren't carrying these in mall stores during the sale. I called my local mall store to check how many they have in stock, and they said none, but they'll be making orders between 6 and 9 to be delivered from the warehouse on Monday the 17th until the warehouse runs out, and then they'll just put in more orders for them. So it seems like there's no way they'll run out on this item.

My local store is at Gwinnett Mall in Atlanta.

Just got back from the Lowes in Gurnee. Lucky for me, someone had already been there to claim this deal today so they knew all about it. I got both for $810 total (110% price match). The electric dryer had to be special ordered, so they weren't supposed to give 110% on that, but they did anyway. Delivery is $59, but refunded via rebate (rebate is a Visa debit card that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted). 4-year extended warranty was $160. In and out of the store in less than 10 minutes! What a great deal! Thanks so much OP!!!

Same experience with me in Monaca, PA. I called the applicance department before hand to test the waters and they knew exactly what I was talking about and said no problem, come in and place the order. The washer was not in stock (1 week until it arrives) but did the 110% price match without any drama.

Now my wife realizes why it's important to check Fat Wallet every day! Thanks to the OP and fellow Flyers fan!

Just got it done at Lowes - Rancho Mirage.

When the appliance guy went to the manager, she showed him an e-mail from corporate that instructed them to match the price.

I was able to get the gas dryer for $70 more. I wasn't sure it was $70 more at Sears, but I read here that's what it cost, so that's what I told him. The set will be delivered tomorrow morning.

They did not give me the 10% price match discount which I wasn't happy with. They said they were instructed just to match the price. I am going to contact corporate myself about that.

Good luck.
