PF Offer Code
LA Times e-mailed and offered the commemorative plate (and the same ongoing rate) for changing my payment option to automatic billing. It pays to drag your feet until they offer something to switch. The offer code was PF. Plate Free?

Does the collectible commemorate the LA Times' suppression of the Khalidi videotape 5 days before the election? If I wanted to read a liberal propaganda tabloid, I'd go to the benchmark and order the NY Times... not the LA Times.

If you're going to be a paranoid, right-wing nut-job, please stop posting here. If you don't want to get a high-quality newspaper like the LA Times, and, instead, prefer to get something that caters to bitter, conservative losers, then you're free to do so without providing your "valuable" critique of newspapers that appeal to educated, intelligent people.

P.S. Ever notice that support for the GOP is strongest where education and income are the lowest?

Just received this in the email. I'm considering to jump in at a reasonable price 'cause I don't want it really bankrupted someday soon.

Sounds like a reasonable position to me.

The LATimes is woefully derelict in covering the major issues that impact my community. Nonetheless I subscribe, although I certainly enjoy reading the WSJ far more.

Reasonable or not, political positions do not belong HERE. Please limit comments to the quality of the deal minus your political position. The LA Times is a product many people clearly do want to buy, so is a viable subject for this forum. Whether or not you think people should want to buy it is NOT.

Thanks OP. I had just renewed my subscription yesterday for $1/week Th-Sun (was told that was the best deal available). I called the number you listed, and was told that they could just take new orders. I called customer service (1-800-252-9141), and got in on this better deal.

Shouldn't a printing plate be a reverse image?

I bet your subsription to the John Birch Daily Mirror is more expensive than this.

I sure hope you were paying $1.00/WEEK and not day. I am a current subscriber too and will give them a call. I was originally given this $39/year or $0.75/week deal, but they raised the rate and said that was best they can offer after a year of subscription.

Thanks OP.

To fmaxwell:

Have you tried reading "LA Times" after reading "Wall Street Journal" ? "LA Times" sucks. Period.

Yea, but the coupons have sucked for several months now. And now that double coupons are pretty much gone now...

Can you look at the flier and see if there is an SP code (e.g. SP5071) printed on it? It is usually in fine print. Thanks!
