It contains a really good quality set of speakers (for much better audio quality than the entry level Nuvi 200 models). But it's so big because it's the pre-Nuvi generation. Excellent model though, I have it for some time now

Yes, this model was introduced in 2006, so it's fairly old. I've owned one since then and it has been very useful. The speakers are definitely louder and clearer than a Nuvi 350 that I've heard. For the price, it's an excellent deal. The size is a plus for some cars (e.g. 94-02 Honda Accord) because you can keep it in the storage console in front of the transmission shifter and have the screen still be at a viewable angle.
