For update see my reply for Sat night 11/15/08

Appliance buyers, DONT throw away your Sears Junkmail! In the next 7 days they are mailing a booklet with 2 coupons inside. One is 10% off appliances. This is for use Nov 18 to 21 and is a ***STACKING*** discount coupon for +10%. Looking at my sale schedule this has potential... They keep changing what sales go when so I wont post the sale this will be done concurrently with but looks to be potentially very very good (national brands) to insanely good (Kenmore Elite which is OEM'ed national brands) with the coupon.

This one ***HAS POTENTIAL*** to be worth bugging relatives to look for the booklet for you if you are not on the mailing list.

Pre answering 3 questions:

Why are you posting this so **** early? because the coupon is BEING MAILED in the next week. I wont post the actual sale combinations until probably Nov 15 WHEN I GET MY SIGNS to verify the most effective sale combos. If I wait till then, YOU THREW THE **** book with the coupon away already as useless junk mail.

Why dont you post the sale now? Because they keep changing my sale schedule. The combination of that particular sale currently listed in the book plus the coupon looks VERY good this month...

Is this better than friends and family? *Potentially* much better. I simply wont know for sure until I see the signs. I will make every effort to report back Nov 15 or early Nov 16. If they change the sale they combo the coupon with the sale could only be as good as a "B" sale. It has potential to be A- at worst and A+ at best on Kenmore Elites.

Note sometimes they exclude some brands. Kenmore Pro almost awlays (yuck anyway), LG about 10% of the time, Electrolux about 50% time. Again sorry I dont know till I get the signs.

Sounds good, let us know as I am in the market for some appliances and think it would be a hot deal if it is better than Friends and Family. Just hope I get the coupons...

I hope the "very good" coupon is 100% off. I think that is the best coupon out there

Is there any way to get on said mailing list ASAP?

Any idea if this would retroactively be applied? My fridge died two days ago, so I need to act fairly soon.

With the economic situation, do you think they would price-match on current purchases (ie. this weekend)?

"Drats" on the "Nov 18 to 21" time frame - North Carolina has a tax-holiday this weekend on Energy-Star appliances. Would have been nice to stack these with it. Might be worth waiting for these coupons vs 7%+ tax savings.

Doesn't sound like this is better than the Nov. 16, Sears F&F sale with Kenmore on sale for 20% off plus an additional 10% off that night.

We were talking last night about getting a new washer and dryer. may be worth a look.

I rather doubt you can get on the list for the snail mail. Ask your friends and family to be on the lookout.

F&F is 20% of LIST Kenmore +10% off remainder, 10% off national brands. ***LIST*** being an important word.

If the coupon sale works as I suspect it will be ("door sale" - X% off -10% coupon.) Thats 3 sales stacked. Kenmores almost always have "door sales". A door sale is a random amount off the LIST price ranging from 5% to 25% off often being 10-15%. If they change it to an "all on sale" that is a whopping 5% and gets mediocre but my book does not call it that.

The safer play on this is do F&F then come back with the coupon to see if its better. You get ***ONE*** price protection reduction at the stores at least. IE if its lower priced withing 30 days you can get them to protect you vs the new better sale. Note they must include all options being equalized. If delivery is included on 1 sale and not another that is a $65 swing and is counted.

If you buy in the stores that is how it works. If you internet buy, its probably the same but you have to deal with the internet sales. They are on a different system than than the stores. The store computers associates have access to can not see the internet sales.

If the sale goes as I suspect it will be X% and 10% off stacked for national brands.

I cant guarantee a thing unfortunately till I get my signs.

I have been at Sears over a year. I have seen panic buying only once and it involved THIS coupon. The coupon landed smack in the middle of a "buy more save more" event (king of sales for people buying 3+ appliances). Anyone getting 3 appliances got "door sale" - 10% then another 20% buy more save more rebate. I was there 45 minutes after closing that day. LOL. People in line were begging me not to stop ringing and to stay even though they were shutting the place down around me including lights! Me and 3 others + customers + security were the only ones in the store. $2000.00 list water-in-door Kenmore Elites were like $1160.00 after rebate. The customers all showed up at 8PM that night. I had nothing at 8PM and was just under $10K at 10:15PM.

To clarify this event I am mentioning is NOT a buy more save more. It is however, apparently a sale that stacks well with the coupon.

Go online to Sears.com and see that they have 10% off on appliances, 15% off if using your Sears card. Sale ends Saturday (11/8)

If you can't wait, like me b/c our laundary is piling up in our new house, I went to Lowes last night to pick up a Bosch Washer/Dryer (Nexxt 500 plus). Lowes had 10% off each and they let me use the USPS 10% off moving coupon (didn't have coupon, just the insert that tells you how to get one). In addition, the Nexxt 500 plus had a $100 rebate for buying the washer/dryer set. I didn't haggle too much, but you could probably get Lowes to match Sear's 15% off on both machines, then use the 10% movers coupon on one item, then get the $100 rebate back for the set. The deal breaker for going to Sears (sorry Fridgemonster, but I definitely appreciate your post and IM) was that Sears wouldn't be able to deliver until the end of the month, but Lowes had it for delivery tomorrow (includes installation, which Sears charges for). So it looked something like this:

500 plus washer: $998 - 10% (or 15% PM to Sears) - 10% (USPS coupon)
500 plus dryer: $898 - 10% (or 15% PM to Sears)
$100 rebate for the washer/dryer set (only requires that the washer be $998 list or higher)
free delivery and installation after rebate

Come to think about it, I think Lowes has a 30 day PM guarantee. It's another $100 or so if I can get the other 5% back.

i just printed out a 16% off hhgregg and the dude at best buy just rounded it off (dollar) and keyed it in without verification and input a manager override. no calls nothing. plus rewardzone plus financing offer. i needed the item same day so this was just convenient. took $300 off instantly. no need to shop around. it seems there is a % they can just reduce items without any question at best buy.

Anyone have a recommendation on a counter depth fridge? How about a dishwasher? Most of the reviews that I've read of the Kenmore dishwashers are horrible until you hit about $1000.
