Big $40 rebate for the final $10 price.
I did have to call and then resubmit paperwork to get my rebates paid.

This has the fancy tall heat spreaders. Can only fit two sticks beneath huge Cooler Master GeminiII heatsinks on two systems. May be better overclocking ram than recent OCZ and Crucial deals.

Bought this ram a year ago (~$25AR).
Overclocked it up to 574 Mhz 5-5-5-15. Does 488 Mhz in pairs with tight timings 4-4-4-12 1t.

Usually Corsair isn't that bad i have got all my rebates, but a rebate is always YMMV and might need some followup.

just make sure you can up the voltage for this ram.

Stuff I got a year ago is programmed to run on standard 1.8 volt systems, with relaxed timings.
SPD 270 MHz fsb 4-4-4-13-15 1.80v, 400 MHz fsb 5-5-5-18-22 1.80v.
I like this ram. Very compatible, with good headroom for overclocking. Overclockers will want to push more volts through it.

Truth is, the difference between CAS4 and CAS5 won't be felt in use. Measured the biggest performance boost by upping the operating frequency, and relaxing the timings (higher latency, but greater bandwidth and throughput).

The best meaningful thing (performance related) I have read so far on this site. Reminds me of, me. If I come across that German article again (2nd one that proves this point), I will link it.

Again, FSB is King (with diminishing returns).

I have a Asus A8V motherboard with AMD 3400mz CPU.

Can I use this RAM in my computer by removing the
RAM that I have in it now?

I have 512MB PC3200 DDR 400 mhz in my computer now.

Thank You

I was on the deal with the Corsair XM2 sticks that were CAS5 1.8v, the rebate took a bit of time but it came.

My Crucial/Lexar came in like 1 month (got it 2 days ago). The Corsair waited till the last week due date (like 3-4 months?) before they sent it.
