Not bad, this netbook looks pretty slick. The only downer is that it comes with a 3-cell battery, which won't last too long on a single charge.

I agree - pretty much a deal breaker until they get the 6 cell battery.

There is a 6 cell battery available aftermarket, but it is quite expensive.

3 questions for owners/other knowledgeable people, then I'm going to pull the trigger.

1) Website says RAM is expandable to 2GB, is this true?

EDIT: Apparent answer to 1 here: http://www.laptopmag.com/advice/how-to/msi-wind-ram.aspx

2) Does the touchpad have scroll,i.e. yourun your finger up/dwn teright side of the pad and it works like the wheel of a mouse? THe review seems to indicate that it does, but I know there was a component change to synaptic to sentelic.

3) Does anyone know the max external resolution through VGA? Is it 1024x768? Any way around this as the GMA950 supports 2048x1536 at 75 Hz maximum resolution according to intel's specs?

Thanks.

Says available at most stores, but I tried 10 stores in 2 states with no luck. Anyone found a store nearby to save $20 in shipping charges?

6 cell version w/160gb hdd (U100-286MY) is $439 shipped here:

Does anyone know whats the difference between the U100-286MY and the more expensive U100-432US? They seem to have at least 2-3 models on the website with identical specs. Am I missing something?

Gone from most stores and BO online, the model # U100-420US doesn't show on MSI website, it may be a model specific for BestBuy but this ONE looks very similar.

Different Markets I think!

I think you missed my point. MSI's website lists three models with the same specs U100-432US, 422CA and 286MY. I'm not sure if I am overlooking something, but I can't seem to spot any differences between these models.

No I dont think they stand for US, Canada, and Malaysia. For one, Malaysia is not in the same league as Canada and US...I cant imagine why ASUS wouldnt choose other G7 members over a poor country like Malaysia if that's what the acronym stands for, and make one for Malaysia. Why not a Japanese, or South Korean, or even Chinese version? Certainly those markets would be bigger. Those are probably just different color scheme codes.
