Drugstore.com has the train for the same price, but charges for shipping under $50. I also found some of the other humidifiers (Sponge Bob, etc.) cheaper than Amazon there.

AFAICT from reading the web, the cool mist ones are much more prone to grow bacteria and to disperse minerals. They also cool the room. Though the warm mist ones are a potential safety hazard for kids.
