Citi Airline Rewards Card's Limited Time Bonus Point Offer - Enough For A Roundtrip Ticket!

Any Airline, Anytime, No Blackout Dates!

Citi is running a deal that makes air travel a lot less painful. The Citi PremierPass Card – Elite Level lets you redeem a roundtrip ticket worth up to $400 after you spend $600 within three months of opening your account. You can travel whenever you want since the bonus points don't expire as long as you make a purchase with your card once every 3 calendar years. You can even choose your own airline, which is a lot more convenient than programs for many other travel cards. And Citi doesn't blackout dates so you can actually travel when you want! The limited time offer gives you 20,000 bonus points after $600 in purchases made within 3 months of account opening – you can use the bonus points to redeem your first ticket for as much as a $400 roundtrip fare. For those of you who have checked out other airline cards recently, you'll agree this is a pretty generous offer!

The Citi PremierPass Card – Elite Level

  • 20,000 bonus points after $600 in purchases made within 3 months of account opening - enough for a roundtrip ticket up to $400 in value*
  • Earn 2 points for every dollar spent on everyday purchases and 1 point for all other purchases*
  • Earn 1 point for every mile you fly on any airline*
  • Earn 1 point for every mile friends and family fly on tickets purchased with your card*
  • Get a complimentary companion ticket when you buy a qualifying ticket*
  • Points never expire, as long as you make 1 purchase every 3 calendar years*

I had this card just to get the THANKYOU points....it does have a high annual fee (over $100.00) and the so called "companion" ticket isnt that great of a deal cuz the prices for one ticket are so jacked up on the travel partner site. Its similar to the CITI Platinum AMEX card.....same benefits I think....

citi plat AMEX has way better benefits...for not much more in annual fees...

But this one has the fixed price redemption for tickets. I dont think the Plat AMEX does.

It does...Its a citi card..so its the same thank you point program. yo just need to have an Expedia acct which is not a big deal.
Citi Plat AMEX is the best card yet from Citi...worth every penny for annual fee for a mediocre spender like me

no fixed point flight, but like coolbargains said, if you have a free Expedia account, you're golden, TY Points from all accounts are pooled

I've tried to get this card umpteen times online. Every time I fill out all the forms, and click "apply" , or whatever, it loses all the data as their server is screwed. Tried it from several different locations, but still didn't work. Anyone get the web page to work?

Beware that, Annual Fee Anniversary Date and Point Calculation Annivarsary Date is different. Means $75 will be charge each year for October to October month but, For earning points, year counts from January to December.

Also, Till u redeem your points, your card needs to be active. Means, if u accumlate points for 2 years and then if you do not continue this card for 3rd year, then your earned point balance still stay same but when u try to redeem your points on 3rd year (with cc not active), they do not give u fix point reward. To get fix point reward, your card needs to be active at that time, otherwise you get less rewards (same as non-Elite card which does not have $75 annual Fee and less rewards)

"Any Airline, Anytime, No Blackout Dates" This is not true. You are not allowed to choose any airlines. You can choose only those airlines which comes up in their system. For each terretory, they have predefined fix amount to choose. The ticket which u need, needs to fit in that amount. Airlines ticket prices very season to season, but thier limit stay fix for whole year means, for high season, you are not going to find any ticket in their fix amount, and that's considered high season as "Black out dates"

mmmthats3m said: if convert same account to simple card( like no mile on purchase)still i have to pay annual member fees? Rewards for "Simple Credit Card with No Annual Fee" is not same as Rewards with $75 Fee Credit Card (Elite Level). Even though, all points accumlates in to isolated "Thank You Network" company, when u call them to redeem points, they check, which type of credit card "u had" and "u have", based on that they tell you what you get. In short, to get best benefits of rewards, you will have to continue to pay $75 till u redeem your points. They do not advertise everything at fronts and people who have not gone thru earning to redeem cycle, sees wonders on each step.

Do you know which airlines they used, do they include low budget such as southwest ? I am looking on how to reduce the cost to fly during spring break - and $ 400 doesn't seem to get me anywhere, esp these days !

In my experience only airlines that show up on Expedia work ... so no SW.

for american airlines, citi has 20k or 25k bonus miles cards with annual fee waived for first year with $750 in purchases. you can get 2 personal cards at one time and wait 60 days to get more. much better deal IMO if you can limit yourself to AA and its partners
