Got this keyboard for $20 from Fry's. It is nice to have a wireless keyboard with a tiny joystick on the keyboard. It makes using a HTPC that much easier. Also not having to keep extra batteries charged for a wireless mouse makes this a lot better.

i have this...decent keyboard and joystick, doesn't interfere with 2.4Ghz signals like many other keyboards, and it fits nicely in your lap

it does go thru batteries fast, i replace them about 5-6 times a year

I'm trying to do store pick-up .. ot works but still charges me $40 and not the store price $20. Any experience with price match at Fry's? Also not sure if by the time I can get to the store (Sat/Sun), the price might be back to normal in the store. Bummer.

Frys B&M will not PM their website. Since the B&M have a 30 day price guarantee and return policy, I do not see why the B&M will not offer their price for an online purchase.

So I was wondering if you ever compared it to Adesso's trackball keyboard. I have one and I'm not satisfied with reception from only about 15 feet away, though it claims 30. I am thinking of trying out another keyboard but feel that it might be the same as they all seem to claim 30 feet. Any feedback?

I've got this keyboard and I use it sitting about 10 ft away and haven't had any problems with reception. Also, I've had the keyboard for almost 2 years (it's held up nicely) and have only charged the Eneloops in there once. This may be because I don't do a whole lot of typing with it, I browse the web every now and then but most of the time I use it like a remote control for playing DVDs or playing back shows I've recorded on my HTPC.

virtually every deal offered in the Dallas and San Jose papers are also valid in Downers Grove. I'll be there later and will report back if it is indeed on sale.

Can I use this keyboard to turn PC on?

No you cannot use the keyboard to turn on the pc.
I've been using this keyboard for the past few years. it's good but the reception cuts in/out with my setup. (10-15 ft)- well within range. I exchanged it for a new one once since the joystick would float the cursor on its own. both keyboards had issues with range if used at a flat angle.
good keyboard GREAT price!

I would think it should be possible. I have a logitech wireless keyboard on another computer and I can use the wireless mouse or keyboard to turn on the computer. I just have to enable wake on mouse/keyboard in my BIOS. Do remember that when this happens, power is still running in your computer when off. Same is true for wake on lan.

This particular deal isn't even available in Dallas, instead we get a standard wireless keyboard/mouse for $10 more!

This keyboard is great! I get a range of about 12 ft. if there is nothing blocking it. I thought this is RF and would have a longer range than IR but I guess not. For HTPC this is great because I don't have to spend time to look for the mouse anymore. I have yet to try any games but will try it.

Does anyone know what the difference between joystick mode and mouse mode is? I couldn't tell.

Anyone know if this is available in Roseville?

yazyazoo:
If I had to guess, in joystick mode, the stick controls the position of the mouse. In mouse mode, the stick controls the speed of the mouse.

E.g.: In joystick mode, the pointer returns to the center of the screen if you let go.

I'm sorry but that would be the most ridiculous thing...

So I just noticed these guys have URF III and just URF. Fry's has URF and Newegg has URF III. Does anyone know the difference, besides the looks of the receiver from the picture?
