CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory for $46.99 - $30.00 = $16.99. Free Shipping.

There have been lots of "Cheapest Ever" posts for RAM recently and this one tops them. Note that this one has a CAS latency of 4 versus 5 for an earlier posted deal (That is better for the RAM-speak challenged). Microsoft CashBack of 3% can make this sweeter.

my motherboard support maximum of 2.0v but this is 2.1v. Do you guys think it would work but with lower performance?

I think it should work with some performance loss. When people overclock memory they just increase the Motherboard voltage. So you would be effectively underclocking it.

If I were you, I would buy memory that meets your MOBO's specs. No point in paying extra for high performance memory, then running it on lower voltage at a lower performance.

Buy good memory that your MOBO can support. Save yourself headaches. When you're getting BSOD's, saving $10 won't seem all that important.

I'm running this at 4-4-4-12 on a G31 motherboard with no RAM voltage control, 1.88V according to BIOS. This is good stuff.

Corsair makes good stuff. I have 4GB of this flavor (2 x 2GB kits) and it will run whatever voltage you have...

Do you guys think it would work but with lower performance?Even though its specs show tested 4-4-4-12 at 2.1v, it will probably also work at 2.0v. But since default timings are 5-5-5-18, I think it's likely to work out of the box. Test it before you send in the rebate so you can return the memory if it doesn't turn out to be compatible w/your mb.

Thanks OP, it's a nice deal.

RAM prices are dropping as fast as the NASDAQ - This other 2GB OCZ kit with comparable specs to the OP's deal is now down to $11.99 AR. I thought I got a good deal on these for $18.99 a few days ago, they get delivered today...

I have this RAM and its rated to run at 5-5-5-18/400Mhz or 4-4-4-13/270Mhz at 1.8v and 4-4-4-12/400MHz at 2.1v. I was able to boot and use the system without obvious issues with the timing at 4-4-4-12/400MHz and 1.8v but benchmarks and memory tests would error out at that voltage. Bumping the voltage to 2.1v fixed that problem. I did not test it at 2.0v but I would not expect it to run at 4-4-4-12 without eventually becoming unstable, especially if you play games or use otherwise RAM intensive applications.
