It's not a terrible game, but definitely didn't live up to the hype. I was expecting this to be THE game everyone would be talking about, but really I played it for about a week and just got tired of it.

I actually have three friends that purchased this game, two were avid Sims and SimCity fans and anything Will Wright related. ALL three of these friends quit playing spore between 1-4 weeks. And they haven't gone back to touch it. Tons of hype, very little delivery, missing features, too much promise in future expansions you will no doubt have to pay $30 for each one.

So don't say I didn't warn you, if you pick this game up and feel burned and disappointed and toss it to the curb 2 weeks later.

Was going to get this until I read the draconian DRM that comes with this game. Now I've read the game really isn't all that so glad they annoyed me prior to my purchase.

So much potential in this game lost to a dumbed down version . My kid's like the begining stages but becomes boring in the last stage.
