Not bad! Thanks! And just a heads up, Applecare can be added to any Apple device anytime in the first year. |
@aphexII That's right. Also keep in mind you need to do this in the first 364 days. Just 1 day late and they will not accept it! |
not so great for the small applecare items ... they charge >$7 to ship and, of course, tax for CA residents. |
none for the iphone, too bad |
Great prices. About 30% discount for the itouch. |
i have to pay for apple to care?! |
$180 for Macbook. FYI, It's about the same price as you get it directly from Apple w/ education discount. |
This is great! Thanks OP. |
You may find that credit cards offering extended warranties are a better deal. AppleCare does extend Apple's technical support, while a credit card warranty extension does not. AppleCare also covers certain wireless and display accessories with your computer, while those items would be covered separately assuming you charge them to the same credit card. I find the credit card warranty extensions to be a better deal, particularly Visa's. Your mileage may vary. |
Thanks OP! My Warranty runs out in March and I would hate to think what any repair would cost. I also like that Free phone support is covered for the entire 3 years and not just the 3 months Apple includes with a new computer. Peace of Mind. |
so this gives you another year correct? Get the most from your iPod for two years from its original purchase date with the award-winning AppleCare Protection Plan. You get telephone technical support from our experts for questions about using your iPod, and you get global repair coverage — both parts and labor — on your iPod, its battery, and included accessories. |
Just what I needed. Thanks OP. |
u2head8 said:$180 for Macbook. FYI, It's about the same price as you get it directly from Apple w/ education discount. Also, the education discount makes the MBP one cheaper directly from Apple. $250 (LA Comp.) vs. $239 (Apple). I realize that not everyone qualifies for the education discount, but for those who do, just a heads up. Thanks for posting OP! |
I used the live.com 30% off paypal/eBay offer and got an iMac applecare warranty for $74. Applecare was $105 - $31.5 (30%) = $73.50 Of course, this is a rebate so it will take a few weeks before its processed. And as always be very careful as to who you buy from on eBay. |
