www.SearsPartsDirect.comIf you need parts for any appliance that Sears sells or services - you can often find them at "competitive" (still too high) pricing at www.SearsPartsDirect.com

If you use Coupon Code 80010 - you will get 20% off your order. The previous coupon code was 80009 and that expired on 8/31/08 - so my guess is that this new coupon code will expire on 9/30/08 - after which you may want to try 80011.

Cash Back is available from FatWallet!Sears.com: 2.0% Cash Back » See offers, coupons, ratings, and applicable restrictions. (see conditions)
GUESS: 3.0% Cash Back » See offers, coupons, ratings, and applicable restrictions. (see conditions)

Thanks for the tip. I need to replace the temperature knob on my gas range and it's ridiculous what they're charging for parts. This helps a little. I tried using code 80012 today and it worked.

Stupid question, but a friend's dishwasher quit working. I was thinking it might be not much more just to buy a new one vs. getting a part for it, and that's if it's even something I can diagnose and replace myself. But after seeing this thread, I'm thinking about it again. What do you think? It worked fine, then one day they turned it on and it started to fill up but then stopped and wouldn't do anything; zero noise or motion at all. It's got a couple inches of trapped water in the bottom.

^^^Make sure it's plugged in and the circuit breaker has not been thrown. If that's good may be the safety switch in the door that prevents it from running when the door is open.

Look in the bottom and see if there is a "float" looking thing. If so, pull it up and push it down a few times and see if that fixes it. As was mentioned, you have to make sure the breaker did not trip and the door switch is working as well.

Beware if you need to return a part. Shipping back is at your expense. I tried to take a part back to B&M... they were dumbfounded. I ate a $17 dishwasher part that was not needed... still have it.
Just make sure you actually need a part before ordering it.

The code would be great to use, but they are higher thatn GE for a small water filter and Sears wants to charge $10.99 shipping for something that weighs less than 1 lb. I think I'll pass on this one.

20% off still in effect Christmas day; the 80013 code also gave me $2 off the #10.99 shipping, bringing a $44 order down to $36.

I had to enter 80013 but when it expires, yeah, just go to the next number... but I also found www.appliancepartpros.com had the same item for the same price but charges tax to California only and shipping was as low as $4.95 by snail mail and Sears Direct wanted $15.99 for shipping...and over $10 for tax...
