newbie question about staples 2% FW rebate

hello,
i have a question regarding the 2% rebate at Staples. Suppose I buy a 100 dollar camera from Staples, then use a 25 off 100 coupon, would i get a 2% of 100 dollar rebate or a 2% of 75 (100-25coupon)??

Anyone has similar experience??

hello yanpingye!

As a rule of thumb, you should expect Cash Back from any merchant to be based off of your after discount total. Cash Back also does not apply to taxes, service fees, etc.

For example
Item $100
Coupon -$10
Shipping $5
Tax $3
The total Cash Back eligible amount should be $90

If a merchant reports it to us higher than that, we would report the higher amount to your account. If you see the higher amount, I would consider it a "bonus", and recognize that this is not the normal process merchants use.
